Meet the Founder

Valeria Caracuta

Valeria Caracuta is managing director and founder of Apper Edge Technologies. She has long evangelized software as a service as the model that would revolutionize traditional enterprise software. Valeria’s customers are among the largest and most prestigious corporates in EMEA. She is a highly regarded executive in the pan European software industry and she is member of several executive networks and innovative technology groups. Career Valeria has over 15 years experience in IT, her career in the information technology industry started at Netiq as a telemarketing manager and inside sales manager. In 2004 Valeria joined Symantec (formerly Veritas) where she worked for eight years in a variety of executive positions. Valeria was instrumental for the success and growth of the Cloud division in Symantec and she took part to top talent programs awarded to the most successful managers in the company. In 2012-2013 Valeria headed up the Cloud division for Informatica in EMEA, very involved in day-to-day operations of the team and ensuring informatica Cloud services met the needs of its growing customer base. Since 20014 Valeria has launched her own company, Apper Edge, working in partnership with Box and providing the best platform as a service for clients looking for innovative ways to securely share and manage their information. Valeria has worked with a variety of customers across multiple industries in continental Europe, Middle East and Africa. Her thorough knowledge of the Cloud industry has helped many customers changing the way they run their daily operations and interactions with their clients.

Early life and education

Valeria grew up in Italy. She graduated from University of Bologna in 1996 receiving a Degree in Business Administration and Finance. In 1997 Valeria successfully accomplished a master degree in information technology. In 1998 Valeria relocated to London where she currently lives with her family.

BOX Implementation Analyst

LONDON, UK

Contract 

We are looking for an Implementation Analyst on our Consulting team in London to support delivery of our EMEA customer implementations and to provide technology expertise to customers. This is an entry-level position designed to grow or build your consulting experience in the enterprise technology space. This role is focused on making sure that new and existing Box customers have an outstanding experience deploying and adopting the Box platform. Your job is to see the world from the customers’ eyes and ensure they successfully move their content and business processes to Box.  Not only will you be responsible for supporting senior members of the consulting team on large deployments, but you will also be responsible for independently leading your own implementations.  This role combines innovative technology with advanced business thinking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Box Implementation Consultants in customer implementations by helping to manage the project plan and acting as a resource to the project
  • Independently lead small and mid-size implementations. Utilize Box delivery methodology to ensure customer business objectives are met and project goals are achieved on schedule. Apply Box best practices, product knowledge, and delivery methodology to meet business needs and deliver outcomes
  • Produce customer-facing deliverables and assist with the creation of new internal resources (e.g. use case blueprints, methodology deliverables, implementation templates, etc.)
  • Ensure that a plan is in place for each engagement for deployment, change management and adoption programs
  • Clearly communicate implementation status, issues, risks and effort to both the customer and Box Consulting Leadership
  • Understand customer use cases and requirements and in turn apply Box best practices to ensure a successful implementation. Apply vertical industry and functional best practices as applicable to each customer
  • Establish and oversee the customer’s initial adoption, training and development of best practices to build a strong foundation before and during initial roll out
  • Troubleshoot customer issues during implementation and be relentless about finding a solution
  • Develop a broad set of technology skills in mobility, integrations, and technology architecture
  • Partner with Sales and Box Consulting to develop a plan for making Box a part of the customer’s core architecture as well as identifying future opportunities for growth in an account

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree required
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills (written and oral). Comfortable presenting in front of senior audiences.
  • Comfortable learning, using and explaining new technology
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated team player ready to embrace a fast paced, high growth environment · Eager to learn about consulting in the enterprise technology space
  • A track record of outstanding academic and/ or professional experience
  • Past experience in a leadership role
  • Passionate about working with customers and learning about various industry verticals

BOX Implementation Consultant

Contract 

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant to use their delivery and technology expertise  for client implementations of Box. You have worked for several years as a consultant, or other  similar role, before, and understand the value of nurturing client relationships. This role is focused on making sure that new and existing Box customers have an outstanding experience adopting the Box platform.   Your job is to see the world from the customers’ eyes and make sure they can move their content and business processes into Box.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead new Box customer implementations including managing the project plan and project resources
  • Ensure that a plan is in place for each engagement for deployment, change management and adoption programs
  • Clear communication of implementation status, issues, risks and effort
  • Understand customer use cases and requirements and in turn apply Box best practices for enterprises to those customer implementations
  • Apply vertical industry and functional best practices as applicable to each customer
  • Establish and oversee the customer’s initial adoption, training and development of best practices to build a strong foundation before and during initial roll out
  • Troubleshooting customer issues during implementation
  • Assisting with Mobile deployments at scale
  • Working with Sales to scope, estimate and write Statements of Work for new projects
  • Partner with Sales and Professional Services to develop a plan for making Box a part of the client’s core architecture as well as identifying future opportunities for growth in an account
  • Function as the voice of the customer and provide internal feedback on how Box can better serve our customers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with implementing Software-as-a-Service solutions
  • Several years of experience working on enterprise-scale deployments
  • Candidate should possess strong application functional expertise, expertise in business application deployment cycles, as well as strong account management expertise.
  • Project management experience
  • Self-motivated team player ready to embrace a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Familiarity with mobile platforms, including iOS, Android, WebOS
  • 3 years of consulting experience
  • Minimal 3 years of client facing experience
  • Passion for cloud technologies
